About Grasshopper

A grasshopper is a sweet, mint-flavored, after-dinner drink. The name of the drink is derived from its green color which is provided by the creme de menthe. Ingredients: 1/2 oz. Creme de menthe (green) 1/2 oz. Creme de cacao (white) 2 oz. Fresh cream Mixing instructions: In a shaker filled with ice cubes, combine the creme de menthe, creme de cacao, and fresh cream. Shake well for about 68 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. For a "Vodka Grasshopper", substitute vodka for the fresh cream. This is also known as a "Flying Grasshopper". For a "Brown Grasshopper", add in ground coffee.
